SERMON OUTLINE

No sermon this week as we had shorter service, to enable people to participate in Totley festival, at which the church arranged the burger stall.

We read the passage above, and talked in groups about two matters :-

1) An occasion when we lost or found something.

2) What we thought is the point of the stories contained in the reading.

QUESTIONS OF APPLICATION

1) Who is in Jesus’ audience? How do they respond to Him? Who do you feel you most identify with?

2) What is the point Jesus is making? Is it the same in both parables?

3) Have you ever strayed from the Christian faith? What happened? Have you come back? – if so, how did that happen?

4) How do these stories make you feel about your value to God?

5) How may these stories affect your relationships with those who wander from the faith?
