Dear David,
As regard to the Naisoya Water project, nothing has
been done yet because of
the bad condition of the Naisoya road. It has been
difficult to transport
equipment to equip the borehole until the rain stops and the road to be
repaired. I recently had a Team from England which visited us for two weeks
and I did aske their Team Leader to write to some people who
wanted to know
how far we have gone on the water project, please find below their letter;-
David.
I have just returned from
a visit to Naisoya where I was able to see
firsthand the work of Pastor David Kereto and his helpers. He asked me to
send you my impressions of the road leading to Naisoya
because the work of
the Water Project is awaiting an improvement in the condition that road
which will enable lorries to transport the machinery necessary to
pump water
from the bore hole.
It is difficult to describe the condition of the road as nothing comparable
is seen in
in a 4 wheel drive vehicle. A Land Rover seems to be the best transport
and
the one we were using had to pull the 4 wheel drive vehicles out of the mud
on more than one occasion. The ruts can be up to 3 feet deep and many are
full of water which seems to take a long time to dry out. Some
parts are
so bad that vehicles have to clamber up the banks beside the road to run
along the edge of fields but that can present hazards because the banks are
steep and the vehicles were constantly slithering on the muddy surfaces.
The rainy season has gone on longer than usual. We had some heavy rain
while we were there whereas on previous visits at the same time of the year
we have seen no rain. Pastor Kereto is obviously keen to see the road
dried
out and receive attention so that work on the water project can be
resumed. It is going to be of enormous benefit to the whole of the
community.

Thank you for your email.
It will be good to send the sponsorship money as
soon as possible as some of the girls have already been send home( This
is
very urgent ). Scott ( Dakatari
) was able to send 1000 pounds which helped
to pay some of the girls. It cost 18000 Kenya Shillings to sponsor a girl
per Term X 3 = Ksh. 54 000 per year. It will be good if
individuals can
sponsor individual girls as that will help to support them the rest of their
education in Secondary School ( 3 1/2 years ). Sponsors can
write letters
direct to their sponsored girls through our Office and the girls can also do
the same but we will not allow them to have adresses of
their sponsors as
that may create problems.
David.
On a more personal
level:
Soul Survivor:
Pray for all the teens
going to this event this Summer that it will be a time of
great blessing, growing closer to God and fun!
Into all of the areas
focus on Jesus model prayer Your kingdom
come, Your
will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
Bill Johnson (key speaker
at this years New Wine Leaders Conference) writes in
his book When Heaven invades Earth:
This is the primary focus
for all prayer if it exists in Heaven, it is to be
loosed on earth. When a believer prays according to the revealed will of God,
when faith is specific and focussed and is grabbing hold of that reality (the
revealed will of God) this causes circumstances here to line up with Heaven.
If something is not free to exist in Heaven, it must be
bound here. Through prayer we can exercise the authority given to us Matthew 16
