Reading; Acts 2: 1-14 & 36 - 39

 

SERMON SUMMARY

 

1) Holmes and Watson story. We can miss the obvious.

 

2) The dramatic events of Pentecost that led to the first sermon.

 

3) Jesus is alive, He is Lord and Christ.

 

4) Who or what pulls the strings in your life? A fear, a person, an ambition?

 

5) Jesus came to be master of our inner lives. Repentance means changing direction, so that He may be so, and to give us freedom to live in that relationship.

 

6) Trust Him (Blondin) and be open about it (Baptism)

 

7) We will receive

            Forgiveness.

            The gift of the Spirit to empower us.
