Reading  Mat 10: 24 - 30

SERMON OUTLINE

Apologies – I forgot to take notes, so what follows is a brief synopsis from memory.

1) Lots of people in the Bible , from a huge  array of different backgrounds found the Lord used them. They were all “Fit for service.”

2) If we have put our trust in Christ, we are by definition “Fit for service”.

3) The question is where and how are we expressing that.

4) We are all capable of making friends, and at the appropriate moment asking a question like “Do you ever pray?”, “Do you believe in God?”. “Would you like to come to (an event) with me?” If the answer is negative we can just leave it. But it will  not always be so.

5) Take heed from the reading of who we need to hold in greatest honour, and how He has promised to protect and provide for us.

2)  Can you think of a time when you have asked somebody a question in the way Peter suggested? What was the reaction?
